Prof. Dr. Werner Michl has been a facilitator with the International Workshop for Rural Youth Leaders since 1993. He studied Educational Science, Ethnology, Sociology and Psychology at Munich University and gathered practical experience working in the realms of child and adolescent psychiatry, children’s homes, and as the director of a youth centre, an educational centre for the young and a consultant in youth welfare. He has been Professor of Social Sciences at Georg-Simon-Ohm University in Nuremberg since 1993 and was director of the "Centre for Higher Education Didactics of the Bavarian Universities of Applied Sciences, DiZ", in Kempten, from 1996 to 2002. Since 2009, he has been Assoc. Professor at Luxembourg University.
